You guys need to revisit your Pulp Fiction.

Progress continues, might even be on the home stretch.
No pics until it's finished though.

Fitted one of those after market rear bumpers. Quick, easy and simple. Looks better than the old cracked one.

Fitted new front diff seal. Hopefully the oil will stay inside. New nuts and bolts on the front drive shaft while I was at it.

    Cleaned it, inside and out.
Almost had it catch fire, some dodgy wiring from an old hands free set or some sort of rubbish was rubbing against the metal brace for the foot rest, so when I put my foot back there I had a shower of sparks in the footwell!
Burn marks on my nice clean Connies too
Then I went and flexed it up as much as it would, got stuck in a gully and then reversed onto a rock and diffed out
All in a days work for the Muppet

Finally finished the top end rebuild. Now has the correct cam, new lifters, rockers/shafts and posts, head gaskets etc.

Started first go, now has failed a/c due to dodgy installed oring in join when smash repairs were completed plus a leak in the ACE system caused by pipes being bent out of the way during same repairs. Just another couple of warranty claims to add to the new auto and winch they bought me due to ineptness of mechanics.

George has a new speedo transducer, after the old one stopped working - it only lasted 340,000km! Apparently it fell to bits when being removed. So, $250 later, I again know how fast I'm travelling, which is always good.
