Thanks guys,
I looked at his site and there is good info there. Im currently running a oem D2 shaft on my lifted Def110. Im thinking about going back to stock height but with just as much if not more travel....His site says use a stock uni type for no lift and a double carden for 3 inch lift...Is there a negative to running a double carden on no lift?
cheers,
Serg
apart from extra maintenance cost and rotating mass, no. The DC shaft in theory should run quieter than the single UJ style.
the late auto td5 shaft (PN ending 220) can be used anywhere, the manual shaft (pn ending 100) should only be used on the manuals but fits the autos anyway
If I recall correctly from when I had the 2 side by side (replacing the earlier manual shaft with an auto shaft) the auto shaft has a "lining" on the slip joints whereas the manual is bare metal. However that may just be because I had one that was old and worn and the other was a new part.
