    Gasket material

I believe there are a few different types of head gaskets available for 300 tdi. Which one is best?

The Laminated metal gasket works for me where 3 Composite Elring gaskets failed, Regards Frank.

many opinions - it seems that most have had satisfactory results with Elring gaskets - you can google the Elring site

apparently some cyl head resellers require that these or other specific gaskets be used for warranty purposes

anyhow - here's a selection of recent threads for you to read ....

I got mine from Karcraft in Silverwater, Sydney (have no idea where you are) genuine Land Rover part #LUB 500220, hard to tell whether the "U" in the part# is a "U" or a "V", will post a pic of packaging, Regards Frank.
