i re-read my post. Old timers has a grip on me and i no longer recall the cause. It would have been a worn bush. It wasn’t long after that i sold the 110 and stripped it of all the good bits to fit onto the 130. I changed any worn bushes in the change over. I didn’t have a problem with ATB that required the third member to be inspected.
A D4 is very different to a solid axle defender thus my experience would not translate to an independent suspension vehicle.
