I have problems seeing how a bent axle housing could cause vibration. Most likely to be something to do with the prop shafts, which would not be affected by a bent axle, or possibly wheel shimmy, which could be affected to some extent by a bent front axle, although again, I can't see it causing it if everything else is OK.

Unless extreme, the only effect I would expect from a bent axle housing would be uneven tyre wear.

What vehicle is this? I had a bent rear housing on a Disco 1 and the there wasn't vibration but worn tyres as JDNSW stated. I did have vibration from the the rubber yolk on the drive shaft, if that is what it is called. I replaced it with a normal uni joint and solved the problem. The other thing is, what has happened previously before this happened?

Sounds like you need to find a big ball of string, a couple of long straight edges (good broomsticks for example), a helper or two and a tape measure and start measuring things.

As others have said bent axles wont cause vibration .I would be looking to borrow some wheels to try out first as the uneven tyre is the most probable

Ok, im not very familiar with their axles. I believe that they run a unit bearing hub set up. Not the same as the Land Rover, RRC and Disco 1.

Maybe bent housings could cause this vibration???

Do you have any spring lift? Are all your bushes in good condition? How are your king pin/ ball joints for pre load etc?
