Not sure, but i have heard there is a crazy strong 37spline nissan diff ( Jack Mac reccomended it) G60 or something

Yeah, the only drama with the Nissan diff is the rear offset, but that can be fixed easily enough.
Front diff is virtually a bolt in job.
Spoke to Jac Mac a few weeks ago for 30mins  , he doesnt have anything but no doubt he could do it as he has in the past, however id much rather give my money to someone that is nice and easy to deal with. Might hit up Hi tough as they will be doing the custom axles.
Jac Mac also mentioned, there is a certain Nissan diff G60 or something that is huge, from memory used in nissan utes with 37splines or something, i think it was inches bigger than a rover tho, so again u loose a tyre size.
Sounds like a good option tho, when is it going into production :D
As for your last comment, are you serious? Haha, go back and read the whole thread :D, I have ended up on the decision of the rover9 with truhi9 after considering nearly every available option in the world..including yes Sals front and rear..I chose this becuase it ticks all nearly all the boxes for me and the decision was not just based on price.
Clearance, strength, availability, suitability to my build and somebody willing to build it and stand behind it also came into it.
So yes I have made up my mind for now, and yes there will be a build, it starts in June and is based on an LSE.
However a lot of good info has been uncovered in this thread by asking questions, and no doubt highlighted many opions to suit peoples differing requirements and builds.
I would like to hear your specific reasons why the Rover9 with Truhi9 diff supplied by LRA is not a good option (for me) , considering my build (as previously discusssed) and my previously mentioned requirement for clearance under the pumpkin to be as close to standard as possible, as the build will be engineered and 35's are the max i will run.
The diagram below shows the difference in ground clearance available with the True Hi9. The True Hi9 offers the highest pinion available and turns the liability of the Ford 9-inch into an asset.
On the left is a high-pinion Dana 60 ring-and-pinion. A True Hi9 ring-and-pinion is on the right. Both gearsets are 4.88s. The True Hi9 has a thicker ring gear, a larger pinion head, and the third bearing on the pinion. The only advantage of the Dana 60 is the 29-spline instead of 28-spline pinion stem.
Ok fair enough, however in my last comment, cost was just one of 4 or 5 factors that came into play for my decision.
I know you run your own shop and have your own opinions which i respect and appreciate as these will work for some peoples requirements, but i find it strange that you have not said anthing positive about LRA's Rover9" disk to disk option soon to be available, from the demand i have seen for something like this on discoweb, pirate and here, surely a bit of praise for taking on such a challenge is in order?
The 9" rear is now a bolt in option and 3 are currently in production by Les Richmond Automotive which I have mentioned numerous times.
Bolt in disk to disk with bulletproof components and near stock diff clearance.
Something that is jigged and more than one is in production is not custom, its an off the shelf product imo
Nissan rear would also have to have housing and axles modded, you would have to buy the housing(not supply your own) you would have to run differnt wheels, then you have to add locker, ratios, ball joint mount etc, and you loose significant diff clearance, not guna be cheap either and currently nobodys doing it. However a good option that would work for some if someone was producing it or someome has diff/housing building skills.
This thread is really about what options are out there comparible or better than the force9, which was "off the shelf"(13 where made) however mega expensive and around 8000pounds:eek: for just one end from memory, I would say that price combined with 3year build time is why its no longer in production.
I haven't worked on cars for money for years, to much money being an eliktrishan in PNG these days
I positively think it would be a good thing, Andrew does great work, I met him at woods point pub and his mechanic, nice dudes
I'm just reasoning cost worth result, there is cheaper ways to get a great result, with rover stuff you still have to add brakes into the costs as the standard stuff is poor
H260 pinion, just use H233, its strong enough plenty. those that move away for more strength move to......Dana 60's;), which brings us back to front and rear sals, you could build front and rear diff's, that you could supply your 500+HP at full throttle without fear of breakage, that can't be said for 9" rear and rover front, 24 spline end will not be unbreakable, many fail, barry makes a great product, but that size axle and material is only good for so much
