Oh someone just brought my Sals finally

Have u got a link for the aftermarket spindles or company that makes them, would these work with rover tubes and what about flanges?

    Nice work selling the sals!

my point was, if a company like Ruffstuff makes housings for: Toy, Nissan, Dana, Ford, 14b (corp) etc, and they have the rover housing on file, then how hard would it be to get a ford9 centre with rover housing ends and brackets built??

There may be others also that have done it, if not, simply supplying them with bare housing may be an option.

Cvs in the swivel ball is the problem. MaxiDrive use to make custom swivel balls that would house a 101cv yet retain a stock swivel housing. That cv would be as big or bigger than a 80 series or nissan.

anything is possible, how deep are your pockets
As previously stated this is exactly what LRA are doing for me and others for the rear.Only it will be made in Oz so no freight costs to get it here.
They are getting a jig built also so it wont be a one off.
Cost for rear, apparently 5-6k locked and loaded disk to disk(you have to buy or supply the donor housing) Slightly more than a full ashcroft setup installed. At this stage they will be running 31-24spline hi tough axles.

I would just fit high pinion nissan centres and housings, get bigger brakes aswell, just need cal offroad cv and axles, cheaper by far and strong, you must have deep pockets, if is fabbed setup

Sals is awseome as its bolt in factory, no engineers, tough as non custom option

500+RWHP and good fuel economy of a diesel haha
Yep understood, but if i was to go a 9 in the front any ideas what CVs flanges would work with lathed swivel and 31splines

Ps I know Sals are the cheapest easiest option and they are fairly bulletproof but clearance and weight are what im trying to avoid.

That engine sounds like a beast!!

I think the drive flanges were Ashcroft and the spindles are from Rovertracks in the USA. I had a drive flange here at work to draw up to machine up a set for myself

No, Solid, nee Rockcrusher were casting high pinion, high clearance D60 centres here in Oz for custom applications, but I have a feeling they've disappeared ?

Since Roveringtracks is no longer and you want to stay in Oz if possible, Im sure Barry at Hi-Tough Eng. could make you the spindles, the drive flanges and do the hub machining.
