If you plan on actually applying 500HP to the ground, the 24 splines will not cut it for long, 31 spline size fits and I think its about 20-30 bore of the spindles
But its seems as though you plan on throwing good money after bad with half beat stuff. rover front will not last if your using the load pedal
Spindles and hubs can be machined by any machine shop, but Macnamara diffs will do them, just keep in mind, Jeff is VERY direct to talk to, but top class gear. rovertracks.....which I think have had a name change also do them.
I think Rovertracks is no longer, under any name.
To machine the standard rover spindles for 31spline axles for the ford 9" ive heard its not safe, what is your take? Ive had correspondance with Barry from Hi Tough on this and he was unsure if we needed to go to 31 or 35 spline rear..and said you can always upgrade it if the 24spline goes. I would prefer to remove any unsures
Spoke to Jeff from Jmac today, he said he might have something but call back tommorow as he was busy.
Just make everything to 35 spline the first time. It's only going to cost a touch more straight up. I have seen 35s with a twist in them. Axels spindles and hubs do it once other wise it's just reinventing the wheel basically when it ****s itself. Set it up and forget about it oh and fit a Detroit even less to worry about

Plenty of people twist and brake 24 spline stuff
It depends on what you plan to do with the vehicle, if its a pretty car you will not be applying 500+HP in the bush, gaurantee it, if it has sacrifical body you might though
So, if you are going to abuse it, then just just do it right do it once, if you are just going to cruise the bush then the setup your looking at will be ample
Agree with doing it right the first time..just have to have it proved thats its needed.
Detroit are the ultimate reliability however they are more suited to a majority offroad truck so thats why the selectable locker was chosen, unfortunatly ARB is the only option apparently eaton dont make an elocker for the ford 9 or am i wrong?
