Temp guage
I'm finally getting around to getting the water temp guage in the landy attached and working.
the temp sender never had an earth attached, so it obviously wasn't going to work. I've attached an earth, and if you touch the earth and the wire to the guage, the guage goes to the top (no resistance).
I presume the sensor works by decreasing the resistance as it gets hotter to vary the guage.
Now I can drive as much as I want, or pit the sender in as hot a water as I can, but the guage doesn't move. But if the engine is warmed up, and you turn it off, then start up again, the guage goes to the top (hot) and stays there.
It is a holden red, but is the sensor stuffed, or is it just set up for the wrong resistance for the guage to work properly??
(at this point I think that the snder is cactus).
Also i'm hooking up the ammeter, and I think it was rocket that said how to do it, but I either lost teh info, or can;t find it on AULRO / REMLR. Can somebody remind me
