Update CEM oilflush

Hi Guys
I drove the trytoo diesel up to Perth and back on friday.I dont drive it often,as its the missus car.Its done about 4000ks since the oilflush treatment and also using the CEM cleanpower diesel treatment.
I was really impressed with the improvement in power economy and driveability. It now keeps up with traffic easilly from traffic lights, the black smoke until 1800revs(turbo boost) has gone with a noticable amount of acceleration available that wasnt there before.I am most impressed with the acceleration available from 100 to 140kph,much needed for passing road trains on albany hwy.Previously it would die in the arse at 120ks,its still pulling at 140.Fuel economy is now up at least 200ks more from the tank.Hills that have in the past have slowed it to 90 are tackled easily at 110ks.
The $90 for the kit is really worth spending on your diesel motor if you arent 100% happy with its performance, especially if you dont know its true history.

good to hear

did you get much sludge out of it when you used the oil treatment?

i just recieved my CEM value pak and am about to try it in mine.

will be starting the fuel treatment pretty much straight away but the oil treatment wont happen for another 2500k as i only changed the oil to penrite hpr diesel 15

big difference in that alone actually! this tank of juice has lasted 100k more than the previous one over the same territory etc

just got to find out what is throwing the vibration thru the cab at 80k-90k and i will be a happier puppy!

Hi Dave
I got 1 litre extra "oil" when I did the initial oil change as they recommended.
The old Trytoo definately is much happier,power/economy/idle smoother.I think both treatments have improved overtime as I dont drive it much I noticed a huge difference last time I did.
Its got another 3 to 4 thou kays before the next oilchange.
The oil is still black on the dipstick,I think it would be asking too much to get it to stay "clean"

http://www.costeffective.com.au/

full range of products

i got the value pack fuel and oil treatment for $90.00

have started using the fuel additive and have done approx 300 klms on it and i have to say i have not noticed big changes, but half a tank is a little soon to see big results i think:P

one thing i have noticed is less smoke when starting when the engine is warm, good sign, i couldnt tell you

oil treatment will occur in about 2200 klms when i am due to change the oil.

Hi Landrovermick
I would say its probably a fairly strong solvent that melts the gunk buildup.Im using the same kit Dave has just got on my Trytoo diesel, the results sofar are as they sugest on their site, very good.

Gday guys.

I have to tell you that Im glad you blokes have found that site. When I bought my Diso 4 years ago it came with a leftover 1/4 bottle of CFM fuel additive.

I even listed it on a site - i thought it was here, asking people if they used any.

When I was using the fuel treatment, i found that i was getting excellent economy and more power and now that i think about it, less smoke at startup.

So how do i tell what condition my engine is in? im definately going to go with oil flush and fuel, im thinking of getting the anti wear as landroverterry is willing to go halves.

Im keen to try the de coke as im a bit down on power...

Regards

Mick

i am on my third tank of fuel using the fuel treatment and it is definetly a thumbs up from me.

two tanks of juice in a row i have acheived of 760 klms from a tank going down to the top of the red block only and as rocket will attest i am pushing the thing hard most of the time but not carrying much of a load.

got a couple more weeks to go at least till i use the oil treatment at 170,000 klms

How much fuel does 250ml of additive treat?

The value pack seems to me to be excellent value. I'd probably get the book as well as it appears to have some good info in it.

I remember reading about CEM products in test Roothy did in Australian 4WD Monthly some months ago. I can't find it again as I think I hurled out all my earlier editions.
