speaking of centrifugal filters.... does anyone know where to get them for less than $38.50 each. oil changes get expensive on these things.
the two filters cost $54.00 + the cost of a good quality oil. and i like to change at every 5000 kms cos i push the thing a bit harder than im supposed to. (i thought it was a race truck)

2.5 litre, turbo charged, intercooled, four wheel drive.
    just like a wrx....???

So far no joy. Not even for the full flow filter. I figure Ryco will probably make a full flow filter at some point but I doubt the rotor will become an after market part.

I agree, though. The price of a filter as with any LR parts is pretty rich.

    landrover part: lpx100590 = coopers: z1353 and i think also ryco: z614

the centrifugal filter ERR6299 is a MANN FILTER: UKL 500

but i havent found where to get them any cheaper

im of to change my oil and filters now.........

    Welp

i did the oil flush treatment tonite

added the magic fluid, fast idled for 30 mins and dropped the oil

between 3/4 and 1 litre extra oil in the pan

dropped the oil filter and emptied the contents, a little sludge not much.

havent taken it for a spin but just idling the engine seems to have more of a ring to it.... good? bad ?

You can get centifuge filters at the wreckers of early Tojo Diesel engines cheap as you just need to find one and plumb it in.
