    Looks good, I'm thinking of doing something similar particularly with a fold down shelf. I'd be interested to see how yours goes. Can you put some pics on when your finished.

    Looks the goods! Does this mean when you finish the shelf you'll have a crack at protecting those front guards like on the Defender Extreme???

    Well I have been muking around with a few ideas for the shelf, and this is my first idea :













    I like this idea because you can park the car on uneven ground and the shelf will self level. Only two problems, first one that is easily fixed is the shelf bows, second is it doesn't fold up and store easily, but I'm sure I can work something out.

    The second idea, that I'm going to try out is to hinge it at the bottom, but I'll try that later on in the week.

    A piano hinge will help. It is continuous.

    I've seen this sort of set up in a toyo troopy.
