Must be a bit ahead of us in mags, only just got #72.Originally posted by Tyrepower
4x4 Monthly #73 has a great article on the Chip. Some are replaced some are remapped. The power boost can be programed to Disco's and Defenders. Sounds like it fairly makes the Landy get along.
As for shade cloth as a bug screen..... :? Wouldn't think it would let much air through and would act more like a wall pushing air out of the way than as a filter. Okay mines not turbo territory but I've used flywire behind the grille with good success. The holes are big enough to let air through but stop the grass seeds, gravel and insects getting through with no impact of vehicle aerodynamics. Hardly ever needs cleaning, except when I drove through a squadron of plague locusts, even the donaldson had them in it!! Every few towns it needed a good clean with a brush but was glad they weren't stuck in the radiator core instead. Reckon flywire would like "tidier" too than a sail of shadecloth but that's just my view.
