lets say it wasnt that dear for the cage spec required.
Id ring as they have a second hand Defender one their right now. Just been taken out of a race vehicle
Watching with interest. I just want a roll nar style for behind the cab of my single cab 110. Nothing too dramatic just something to keep my head from being the main structural member in case of a rollover.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Bond Cages in Sydney will make up a bolt in one for about $700-$900 per hoop. that includes stays and braces and hardware.
Catch is someone has to leave them a Defender to make a template. They only need it for about 2 days.
are these "Roll bars" or "Sports bars" what price differences do they offer for both?
how many of us would need to put their names down to make it worth while?
I have been been looking for 2 hoops one for behind the driver/pass, and one for the very back just infront of the rear door?
Basically the point of creating a hoding air tank utilising a cylinder, bar work etc is not to pump up and have an endless supply but to take a bit of the work load off the compressor. I have seen it done with a bull bar with no problems. I do not think it is worth the additional cost personally and you would be better off with a hidden air reciever/cylinder under the tray somewhere. If you look around an industrial demolition yard or truck wreckers air recievers are plentiful. Most industrial plants use them.
To get the required bar you are talking about you would need to get a boilermaker that is licensed to welld pressure vessels. They may even be able to convert an existing bar if the metal gauge is correct.
Most so called roll bars on the market are not worth a pinch and a re more for looks than protection. Just look in the back of a few and see that they are only attached to the tray.
We made an internal one up for my father inlaws MK Patrol a few years ago. Came out Mickey mouse. Use a gutter mount bar ove the roof at the front, the roll cage in the back with the custom made rear roof bar bolting through the fiberglass roof to the roll cage for added strength. You could jump on the roof rack and do no damage. The roll cage was bolted through the floor with plates to the chassis. Just took some tube steel, a pipe bender, grinder and welder.

yea I am a big fan of the air tanks kmart sells, so when your helping others with their wheels, the expencive air compressor stays with the car, and just the storage tank $30 when on sale, goes for the walk
