they were defecting vehicles on the bribie road this after noon...
some were tradies vehicles going home from work, some were vehicles coming back from being up the beach.
quite a few very unhappy looking people on the side of the road....

I was hoping to step up to 265/75x17 on my ranger from 265/60x17. that extra 15% aspect ratio improves my gearing and cures my speedometer error.
It equates to 40mm extra sidewall. Are the police going to book me for improving my speedometer accuracy?
In essence the car will sit 40mm higher. There's no fat tyres, no flares , no suspension mod , yet it will be illegal.
Seriously?
it must have been as there are direct links to cached pages that show up in google search and some non cached for good measure but the search interface is definetly broken.
i found pages for all sorts of things but not land rovers.
the new pages of info arent scans of old sheets they are database output forms with a hell of a lot more data from what i can see of them.

I was discussing this with some guys at work, and one brought up an interesting point, if the tyre size, lift kit, etc, is so bad why doesn't the ESC, Traction Control, (three amigos in a D2) light come on, or throw up any other fault code?
