May well be an earlier ARB then, I had one that I fitted to my 10-spline RR diff in about 1998 and rebuilt it not long after and I'm pretty sure the seal housing was the same as the one in my Defender when I bought it that needed repair with every second tank of fuel- a different seal housing attachment to the one shown. The engraving on the carrier housing suggests to me that it isn't a cheap knockoff.
I went camping with Tony Roberts - once was enough- but we were camped down on the Moroka River at the bottom of a very scrabbly & steep hill & he talked all weekend of there being no diff locks available & it couldn't be that hard to make one,- the rest is 4wd history- it was an interesting climb out too.
He ran an aviation engineering company at the time called Altair Aviation.
If you ever see a Vic registered 4wd - tricked up to the max -with TR --- number plates, it'll be him, he got a royalty for each diff lock sold...
