I know - but back in those days there was a distinct shortage of drive-thrus.

    Steel clip on cup holder

Somewhere, sometime - I have seen a reference to someone selling steel cup holders (specifically made for Feders) that clip onto the dashboard lip. They even have different versions for different kinds of dash lip.
But I didn't save the reference - and now google isn't helping much. Anyone know where I can find these now ??

Oh - and I did look at replacing the cubby box with a "nice" StoreCaddy steel one complete with from cup holders, lock etc from Mobile Solutions in the UK. http://www.mobilestoragesystems.fsne...tore-caddy.htm They are priced ok 174 pound (exc VAT for export) for the deluxe model - but the postage is the killer .... 110 pounds per cubby !! And they sadly don't have an Australian distributor.

I've seen these in various magazines from several UK distributors. It looks like a Tuffy centre console which is actually manufactured in the States and distributed by several UK accessory places (eg. Exmoor Trim) with slight modifications such as Landrover genuine fabric on the armrest.

I'd be interested to see how much a box direct from Tuffy would cost landed here.

Actually, I stand corrected, Exmoor Trim have their own security cubbys - not the Tuffy ones. I think the Exmoor ones look nicer anyway.

Then again, with the rough ride of the series 2a the cups would need a seatbelt to hold 'em in!

Just a word of warning to anyone who has a 110 county with 200tdi conversion, (or am i the only one!!), I brought one of these items for my county and it doesn't fit! , for some reason the distance between the bulkhead and the seat box is not great enough for this item to fit.

Question: Has anyone with a genuine 200tdi defender fitted one of these?

However, it fitted my Dad's V8 county nicely which made him very happy

    cheers

A mate of mine fitted one to his '92 200tdi. It fits well, but needed some coaxing with a heat gun to bend in the right places.

His aulro name is brendanb if you want to pm him for a photo or instructions.
