One of those really clever moments - electrical question

In process of prepping holes to fit snorkle on my D1 I was fiddling in engine bay with the angle grinder.

I unknowingly sliced into a conduit of 12 wires heading into the firewall in the passenger side under the washer reservoir.

I have cut through 6 of them. 3 of them are earth ( black) and identical.

Question: does it matter if I don't reconnect the earths to their original mates?

The only possible problem I can think of is if the the wires have switches in them, as negative switching is sometimes used in cars.
