Rangie-Flex plate to torque converter bolts

Ok, feeling like a complete numpty (but now with no arms after removing F**king bellhousing bolts)...

The four bolts for the flex plate/torque converter- are they regular thread? I thought I was undoing these- but.. seems to keep getting tighter in both directions..

(soooo close to getting the F**king motor out...)

How are you accessing these bolts to undo them?

used a ratchet to turn the crank pulley- have removed the inspection cover, and line up the hole in the flex plate in the gap between the side of the sump and the bellhousing
