				Well, the results are back. I filled up for the first time since installing the hiclones, and I was surprised at the effect they have had. Wasn't expecting too much, but got heaps out of them. 
Previous fuel consumption: Just under 30L/100 km. 
Latest fuel consumption: 22.1L/100 km. 
These figures are both based on 100% urban driving, around Townsville so nothing too hilly. No towing either. 
This is pretty impressive to say the least! It's a 25% improvement...nothing to be coughed at.
Given how others have fared though, I have to ask the question...what did it fix? I can only assume that it has increased the mass flow into the throttle body, which means I had a restriction there before. Why? Any ideas on what was restricting the airflow, and apart from cyclonic induction, is there a fix?
If there's no other answer, I give hiclone 2 thumbs up, fixed a surge at idle and 25% better fuel economy. Initial recommendation to all that they are a good buy (admittedly based on one tank, but there are plans afoot to take her for a proper drive and test them on the highway and off road) I'll report back after she's dirty and tired from a proper flogging....
