I fitted one to 93 3.5 V8 disco, dont think fuel consumption improved but I was happy with a little increase in power

Could you please give me detais of your mate in Rockingham installing the LPG? I have been given a business name of Hi Torque but can't see them listed anywhere. Anything i should know about LPG conversions i might not already? I have been quoted $5 300 for a Tartarini system for my '01 series II 3.9. Cheers!

There's a few calls on here for an actual test to see the real effect of these things. After talking to a few blokes at work (old rover owners from way back) they all said to give Hiclone a try, and with my current 30L/100 km I'm more than willing to test the claims.
I'm installing the recommended 2 devices this week, will post the results when known.
If it's less than 30/100, I'm a happy man!
Well, the results are back. I filled up for the first time since installing the hiclones, and I was surprised at the effect they have had. Wasn't expecting too much, but got heaps out of them.
Previous fuel consumption: Just under 30L/100 km.
Latest fuel consumption: 22.1L/100 km.
These figures are both based on 100% urban driving, around Townsville so nothing too hilly. No towing either.
This is pretty impressive to say the least! It's a 25% improvement...nothing to be coughed at.
Given how others have fared though, I have to ask the question...what did it fix? I can only assume that it has increased the mass flow into the throttle body, which means I had a restriction there before. Why? Any ideas on what was restricting the airflow, and apart from cyclonic induction, is there a fix?
If there's no other answer, I give hiclone 2 thumbs up, fixed a surge at idle and 25% better fuel economy. Initial recommendation to all that they are a good buy (admittedly based on one tank, but there are plans afoot to take her for a proper drive and test them on the highway and off road) I'll report back after she's dirty and tired from a proper flogging....

what else did you change.
if your driving by the book provided with the hiclone that bonus in fuel consumption came from also removing the lead from your right boot or putting in the premium fuel they reccomend

I cant belive this thread is going, have since pulled the hyclone thingy out and found its true use, a chip cutter.
Makes great wedge like chips.
