Thread: Which Brand Shocks

Funny people have had issues with OME, I had a set in my last Rangie and they were quite good for the price.

I still prefer Koni's because I can adjust them to suit the Rangie's suspension prior to fitting (3 settings). I also rum LRA springs 180 lb front, 220 lb rear and this gives a grerat ride and good off-road flex as well. Loaded up with camping gear it doesn't sag too much (also have a LR tank fitted, about to be ****ed off for a stock unit as it hangs down waaay to much for me )

Probably fit Koni's to my 2 door as well when i can afford them.

After a bit of ringing around today, it appears the $1000 Koni/King setup is no more, as I'm told the Koni shocks that made up this kit are no longer made, and they've moved all 4x4 applications to their "heavy track" shocks, which are $500/pair. That bought the complete price to $1350 from Rovparts.

However, I have managed to find both these and Bilsteins cheaper locally - WA Suspension does Lovell springs for $370/pair and either Koni's at $430/pair or Bilsteins at $365/pair!

That makes a Lovell/Bilstein setup $1100 supplied or $1280 fitted. Don't think it's worth any more time spent on this at those prices, so will book the car in with him for early next week - he's flat out this week, which is a shame.
