I had Dobinsons springs and shocks put on my 89 Rangie. Naver even herd of them before hand until the local muffler shop recomended them. They are first class, never ever had a problume with them and they were 50mm lift too.
From memeory it was about $1300 fitted and ballanced, on all four corners.

For the money Dobinsons re great.

Not sure I'd splash for the Koni's with the limited amount of real tough stuff mine would do, but very interested in the progressive springs - do you mind me asking where you got them, and how much of the $1700 they were?

Ah, nice and local...cheers. Was that a fitted price? Nice if it was....

Hopefully, they'll also be able to tell me if my Defender has already been raised too, so I know whether to buy std or lift springs to match it's height now.

Thinking OME for the shocks after reading this thread - something mid-ranged both in price and performance should suit me, unless they recommend something better at the same cost! Too much choice out there, and not enough independent tests of the setups, even in the English Landy mags!

I was told by a country landrover dealer that OEM were munroe painted black.

I have decided to go with Dobinson springs. Might price their shocks. I was quoted $900 for full set of konis for the 110.
