Seems all the shock experts are onto this so I thought I would ask for some advice on my shcok set-up and what I should do. I hope I am not hijacking the thread...... I have an 03my HSE with SLS and ACE on 18" rims which gives a pretty firm ride (like a sports car really) which is great but I am wondering what I need to do to soften it up a bit, particularly over bumps as it can shake your teeth out sometimes. I expect the ACE is what is making it so hard and not sure if there is much I can do about the shocks to soften things up a bit. Just running standard factory shocks at the moment which were only recently repalced under warranty so I don't think the shocks are shot. I guess I am after a nice balance between the advantages of ACE and a slightly softer ride but I expect there would be a lot of fiddling about to get it just right? Changing down to 16" rims would probably just about do it but i like the look of the 18"s on the truck.......
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
your on the money 18 in rims will give a much firmer ride than say a 16 changing rim and tyre alone will soften the ride heaps
I would also bet that most of it is in the 18" rims.
Cheers
