    Well well well

The noise & vibration in mine that I've been trying to track down would appear to be the rear diff again.. Will know more later today.

Hope the cw&p is ok, coz 4.11s for the P38 rear aren't exactly a readily procurable item.

Only been a matter of months since it was all setup & installed too.

    Regards

Yep, got a suspicion that's what mine are, but before Ashcroft got involved. I nearly bought a set from GBR in Utah, till I figured out they were importing from WA...

Hope a batch has been made recently...

I don't know if this is rumour or true but i was told that the guy that makes the heavy duty CVs and CW&P for Ashcrofts actually lives in the US

Sounds like Bill from Great Basin Rovers. He seems to sell Maxidrive & Ashcroft stuff.

I was bringing in 4.10's for P38a from Bill / GBR.
No stock at the moment though, he accidentally doubled up on fronts when it was the rears that are most needed (110 don't need these for the front) I dare say if it wasn't for the P38a rear in being the "Extremes" then no one would bother ever making them for P38a at all.

Regarding the supply chain, it's a strange kind of set-up. I remember when I first got onto Bill about the 4.10s, Mal had no idea he was making them.
Bill gets them made somewhere in Europe - could be Spain. Perhaps half the reason they're so expensive is simply all the shipping involved...

As far as longevity goes, had mine for nearly 3 years - nothing broken yet.
    Perhaps I drive too sensibly?

And BTW - the rear carrier from my 4.0 was only a 2 pin.
Maybe it is only 4.6's that have 4 pin front and back?

And BTW BTW - I had the twang. Got Rick to tighten something up 3 yrs ago, noise disappeared. Back again now but not as prominent.

Big reds ass end has been a might clunky recently, and I have a bit more free "twist" in the rear propshaft than ID like to admit to letting slide...

It would be interesting to see if the Salisbury can be adapted to take the ABS sensors.
Mmmmm need to see a rover one with ABS....

That case you may not need the brakes that are on it.

If you want the Whole diff, with axles less the brakes you can have it for $300
