same issue...
I've had the same issue with my D2, noticed it on the Holland Track when wanting to push the pace a little. When I came to a rut the suspension had lowered again - 40kph seemed a bit slow to lower back down again.

Does your D2 have air??
With the D3 it can't catch you unawares because it keeps making the bloody annoying 'boing' between 40 and 50, warning you to slow down.
I haven't found it a problem on bush tracks. I have to keep an eye ahead on the track for obstacles, critters etc; so generally have plenty of time to slow back down and raise her up again.
Watch the track ahead and read and choose your ground.
