Can't claim I'm an experienced diff builder, only done about half a dozen but never ever had loctite back off on anything I've ever used it on. (and I hate lock tabs, it's just me, I'd rather wire bolts, and I hate that too. I've drilled far too many HT bolt heads and never want to do another)

For Loctite to work both threads must be absolutely clean. Brake clean is you friend.
