Ex 300Tdi Disco:
My (non landrover) has a lower height of 200mm and a raised height of 395mm(not sure if that includes screwing the thread out). The lower height is just right.
Just read the repair instructions and from looking at the pictures that looks like just the jack to use with a 110 (imagine that). One question it the top forked bit on a thread so you can utilise the full stroke everytime?

84' 120" ute - 3.9 isuzu.
Just got home so checked the Defender myself.
With the 16" rims you would need a 200mm min height to fit if you had a flat.
Preferably over 390mm max height to fit the 7.50R16's properly.
Bit like the stupid jack they supply with current Defender. Wont fit with swing with door wheel carrier on.I bought a 3 ton bottle jack from Supercrap for the S1, and put that in the Defender as well.

The old screw jacks out of Toymota troopies are pretty good, (something has to be). I had one for years in the rangie and given troopies have 750/16s they should be the right height.

I carry a GQ patrol multistage wind up jack (not hydraulic). My favourite so far, it gives heaps of height.
I have a disco 1 jack, handles, wheel spanner, jack mount, bag ect. appearing on ebay soon, but buy clarkies one first![]()
The standard (Italian) Defender bottle jack is pretty crap. The seals were stuffed in mine internally (tried changing the fluid) so I just threw in the 8 tonne Armstrong bottle jack I bought from Gasweld years ago. Works a treat and straps in exactly where the standard jack goes in the crew Cab.
This is interesting. The defender jack they supply with the car is a bit dangerous too![]()
