Thread: Axles wearing? Do these pictures mean anything to anyone?

    The bolts I did up had no nuts visible. I assume they have captives out of view.

    isuzurover - Im happy with that price also.

    Like I said, Im keen to do it myself. I remember a while back seeing a very in depth thread on here how to. Ill have a search for it later.

    when you decided which way you want to go give us a hoy....if i'm around i happy to come over and show you through one side, when i upgraded to maxi it was all done in the front yard, i have a hub nut spanner we can use if you don't have one

    just one thing to check...M R Automotive told me to only knock the hub seal in till it was flush with the other part of the hub.......the advice on aulro is to knock the seal in till it bottoms out on the seat/shoulder

    If using RTC3511 seals, you knock them in 4mm below the hub face, otherwise there is too much pressure on the dust wiper against the back face of the stub axle.

    really ?

    All the ones I've seen use bolts coming out of the park brake drum through the flange. It even shows this setup for the TD5 fender in RAVE.
    Must have changed it in the really late models
