    I always thought it was early 96 (the vin number is in rave i think) but there are lots of differences. The seatbelts, the seatbelt plugs, the window regs (early are same as rangie i believe, the later fronts are shared with D2s). The rear view mirrors are different, aerials are in the back window on post 96, SRS airbag sensors.....

    Thanks heaps for this post I have been looking for this sort of information for a while now, its great to have when looking at replacement parts With the indicator/wiper/horn assembly being interchangable between D1 and D2 I was wondering if this would be the same for my 93 discovery even though the D2 one looks completely different from the one in my disco at the moment?
    Thanks Baza

    The LA discos light/indicator switches are interchangable with some rangie classics, but i have never wrecked any, so i dont know which year classics. Mabe someone else can fill in the gaps with the classics and the discos.

    Like i have said, i have never owned a classic, so i cannot confirm 100% when and where the parts fit. Ma discos, D2s and P38s only came out for about 5 years each, so its fairly easy to say what changed with what , and when. Classics ran for 25 years! where would i start?

    If a soft dash and/or a very clean low km classic turned up at the right price, i will be adding to the list, but dont count on it as i like p38s too much now.

    The stud pattern is different so they won't interchange.

    Just for some extra info, the D2 stud is 14mm and the stud pattern of 120PCD is the same as;

    P38a

    Disco 3 & 4

    RRS

    09/10 Holden Commodore

    Earlier model Commodores have 12mm studs but the same PCD.

    Also and can't be 100% on this, the 120PCD is on these as well

    BMW X3 & X5

    VW Toureg & late model Transporters
