D2 DC joint, grease nipple angle

I went to do some maintenance on the new rear prop shaft and one of the grease nipples is so close to the DC that I can't get the connection right to grease it. All the others are fine but this seems to be placed in the wrong spot. Any others had this problem or have I been sold a dodgy prop shaft?

Um, nope - he means that the replaceable uni joint itself was installed backwards. You can get extended nipples ( NO PUNS PLEASE) at Supercheap on the nuts and bolts display. You still have to rotate the joint anyway to get the max clearance which is usually facing away from the angle of said joint.

Excellent. I seriously didn't want to ask if extended nipples were available as I've been pushing the envelope recently. Much appreciated Langy

Longer grease nipples are readily available. Grease nipples come in a staggering range of sizes, shapes, angles, and threads. I have had to put longer ones on several vehicles over the years. Usually because the joint is closed up at the only location where one can get at it.
