    hmm, just reading about "Allans" troubles with the front propshaft,, seems to be a Puma problem,,
    though when changed it transforms the vehicle!

    If you dont mind me saying,
    I think it is the cleaning fluid because:

    1- If it were the turbo there would be oily residue in the intake mainifold and it isnt likely it would have stopped until something went bang in a big big way.

    2-Diesels dont generally run on from a holed piston as the pressure inside the bore is normally still higher than the crankcase.
    That being said, it is a closed crancase ventalation system on the Tdi so it is possible that it built up pressure and pushed oil passed the rings.

    Question....Have you checked your oil level?

    3-For the engine to stop it either siezed which would mean there would most likely be something hanging out at this stage or it ran out of the fuel it was burning.

    I dont think you will get out of it cheap, if it got massive revs then it is likely that there will be plenty of bent and broken bits inside.

    Good luck with it, hope it all ends up ok.

    Who said 200tdi were tough little engines......

    [ame="http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa212/dullbird/forum%20stuff/?action=view&current=MOV00007.flv"][/ame]

    only bit of vid with it ticking over, had to stop it as I noticed while it was running that there was a small oil leak coming out of the rocker. Ian looked and he just looked like he missed the seal at the front I think its a half moon one or something. So fingers crossed all is good.

    and No we didn't try putting on any rev's as I was to scared to do it! but at this point I'm happy that the engine is happy to tick over like nothing was even wrong

    Yeah I kind of know what you mean pedro.....but the camera phone has picked up the highest frequencies the most.

    Because in that Vid it really sounds like its screaming its head of and it really wasn't.

    I don't have a video camer ato show you what I mean...someone drowned it on a kakadu trip
