when adjusting wheel bearings........do the adjusting nut up TIGHT.......
then spin the hub a few times.........
see if the nut has loosened at all.....if it has......repeat process......
this helps to seat the bearings.......especially if on of the cups hasnt sat flush.......
then when all is good.......back off the adjuster and adjust up properly.....
you need the slightest bit of pressure on the bearing......
not enough to load it up......and not loose enough to have any freeplay.....
then.......when fitting the lock tab and lock nut.......
make sure the adjusting bearing doesnt tighten up when you tighten up the locknut......
the lock nut needs to be done up pretty tight......in order to lock up against the adjusting nut to stop it from moving.......
then the locktab....stops them both from moving.......
