I have a Tigerz11 el-cheapo job on the dunga and it's great. I have used it quite a bit 95 times on one creek run ) and it still works fine. My only whinge is that the freespool is a PIA to disengage and you need to wind it out with the controller other than that it's okay.

I do like hi-mount warns but I just can't justify spending nearly 4 times what I paid for the dunga on one that's all Plus I'm cheap.

i used my pto for the first time the other weekend and didn't think it was slow, started the recovery in 1st gear, changed to second and used accelerator to vary the speed, used third gear to spool the cable in

i have never used an electric winch but i do like the varible speed

    $450 for the complete pto
    $200 ro re-route the exhaust
$70 for a cast iron fare lead thingy.....it not really wide enough

i should have measured the sheer pin diameter.....still don't know what the best material would be

    Warn Hi-mount.

Bought the winch used for $1100
Bolted on a new Warn 6hp for about $500

Thats about the same price as a regular Warn but a far better setup. Be patient and watch Ebay. The guy who I bought this from couldn't sell it in SA so while visiting the ACT he brought it with him and relisted.

If you fit a 9.5XP (basically a XD9000 with a 6hp) just check the fit. If it is to be fitted inbetween the chassis rails, then the fairlead cant be centred - so it may not fit a standard bar unless the bar has cutouts to fit the motor through it.
    Cheers

That'd be a mechanical PTO I gather. Mine is going to be hydraulic. Looks like I should have gone down the mechanial route

Hope to get one of those bottom mount PTO driven winches one day. Weeds got a bargain.

Anyone sick of lugging their LT95 winch around?
