    LT85 and R380 Spigot - same?

    Guys,

Is the spigot the same for the LT85 and R380? I ask as I'm doing an isuzu / R380 conversion from an LT85....

Other than the new box, the bell housing, the clutch.. what do I need?

    Thanks Guys..

Just be careful in that the spigot on the input shaft of a diesel R380 is bigger than the v8 version ( roughly 24mm vs 19mm ). I've not dealt with an isuzu, so I don't know what sort of hole is in that crank.

Apologies - I'm getting a little lazy in my old age - this might help explain it a little better.

    Using a V8 R380 in a Tdi

for the record, what is the spigot hole size in the isuzu engine?

I'm taking a 5 speed out & a V8 4 speed going in to an Isuzu( different bellhousing) & Fred Smith says I only need the clutch driven plate clutch slave cyl rod & bellhousing. So it should be the same as a V8 - if that helps.

The 5 speed gearbox fitted to Isuzu's was the LT85, not the R380.

    Now I'm confused.
In response to the question about the Isuzu spiggot size, I'm saying the 4 speed V8 is the same. I'm not sure whether the R380 is the same as V8 4 or 5 speed ( LT85) but if it is, then the Isuzu is the same, which answers the original question.

    I'm with your reasoning now.

That would make them all the same !!
Annoying that they are not in the parts manual.
