The one I have looks a bit shorter than the genuine LR one that's on there at the moment.

    Hey mate

    Just checked those numbers

    LF3376 (oil) and FF5135 (fuel)

There is a fair chance mine could be the incorrect one though

Had a chat to the fella at work

There are two filters, one short and one long. Thats why we have the two different numbers

Hmm, I wonder who make them for Lucas ?

The only filters i know that approach a nominal Beta2=6 (6 micron) are Donaldson filters using their Synteq media, Cumins/Fleetgaurd Stratapore media filters, Amsoil filters using Donaldson media and Baldwin's glass media (around beta2=7) and I'd guess some trick stuff from Mann-Hummel.

    Good point yes

Be interesting to see the comparison with Baldwin, Genuine, Coopers and Ryco filters as compared to Fleetguard

I'm on dial-up so wont be watching the vid and have no idea the 'conclusion', but unless they have a bubble point tester to compare media efficiencies it isn't really worth a lot. IMO.

The other point, and someone else made it above, is that all filter manufacturers only make a certain, sometimes limited range of filters, all the others in their range are re-branded someone else's filter.
Even the big guys like Cummins/Fleetguard, Donaldson and Mann-Hummel do this, let alone Wix, Purolator (now owned by Bosh and Mann-Hummel IIRC) Ryco, etc.
I have Fleetgaurd and Donaldson filters assembled by Champion Labs in the US, I've used Wix that were Sakura (made in Indonesia) with a Wix sticker over the Sakura one, Purolators from Korea, etc.

No detail is given re the tests. However, since the FG filter is a synthetic media and the others are cellulose, it it is clear that in this case the FG filter would likely be superior.

I think the only thing it really commented on there was build quality and specs rather than filtering qualities.
