I have a bad feeling that one (and therefore both) strommies are in want of a major overhaul, I got the timing stable but still cant get it to do a stable warm idle or restart without a little choke....

Its been way too long since I setup carbies.
have you fitted new diaphragms to them Dave?... even the smallest pinhole leak will affect performance (I used to play with 175s on the 6 cyls)

    on the camera...

the camera doesnt want to talk to the XP box and the vista laptops wont read the memory card unless I format the card. Stupid bloody windows.

theres one pic in the skullers thread that I convinced the vista laptop to read off of the card after I left it in overnight while it tried to recognise the card.

I'm having similar problems with SD HC cards, normal SD cards work fine, SD HC no chance without an external card reader.

    The Wii reads everything fine.

Looks alright, you keeping the rangie axles? I still think it's a better setup on emergency isolation of the front diff, and a lot easier to cart spare CV's

Let me get it running right first.....

still have to put a radio in for swmbo.

she likes it more than big red to ride in as theres more room seating wise (which was one of the mods slated for big red.

This afternoon will see the linux box hooked up to the camera to get the photos off ot a USB stick to get the photos into photodbucket and a write up will be done.

then I'll do a write up on selling big red.

You have to be careful with GPS distances as they don't account for hills very well.

That might not be the case with navigators that have the road network onboard.

yep they usually run the distance short on the hills.

but Its the same track that I do on a semi regular basis and it shows up as near as damnit to 30 Ks on big reds speedo, the GPS;s route calculator, googlemaps and following the route with GPSDASH 2.

As Im only using it at this stage for comparitive numbers while Im doing Test and tunes Im not too stressed if the numbers not accurate to the Nth decimal place so long as it indicates a big sudden change that means one side is basicaly dumping.

Its still not idling and its flat from idle and my current worry is overhauling them.
