Nope - cant hear it with earmuffs on

Not so worried about the top end of things, mainly interested in where its starting to build boost etc from the turbo perspective.

Exackery! I can now lift wheels and hit 680c egts pre turbo with the vnt @ 30psi and still I have no desire to fit a tacho, hit the governor then shift even though I just got beaten by vern in the Dac dac today although a quick stop to check the mail may of hindered my chances

In all seriousness I'd spend the extra elsewhere

You'll feel it in the hotseat, get it running the come down and take mine for a spin, you'll get a good comparison, egts and boost are the only gauges that matter

Tacho Schmacko, as said the Guv is the important bit; you can't hurt the engine, just the drivetrain

x whatever we are up to.

IME the boost guage and EGT are much more useful than a tacho. They rev so little that you may as well fit a binary tacho

Speaking of stopping - what brake pads are you running in the front of yours? The county definitely seems down on stopping power compared to driving my D1 lately with a new set of genuine pads in it.
