4BG1T flywheel weight = approx 27kg
Yeah first price was around $1300-1400 then they said that they matched a set of falcon studs so that reduced the price down to $700 then I needed to get the other 4 that cost $70ea then nuts and washersI got quoted a set of oem bolts for $55 (not off eBay) so I was expecting studs to be no more than around $350 or so mark...
All good John I can't find my birth certificate let alone receipts so where in the same boat..

Today's dismantling ...seeing such beautiful engineering makes me kinda feel sorry for Nissan and Toyota owners![]()

That's confirmation of no timing device on the pump drive gear. But you've also got a flywheel tooth sensor to drive a tacho.
Yep I am think I may just swap the pumps over at this stage and keep the BG pump for spares for the other...with the flywheel sensor I just have to try and figure out how to mate it to the td5 tachometer I havethe flywheel also has 4 tapped holes in it where I assume a hydraulic pump would have been coupled to so I have to figure out how to block them then send away for grinding...
What is the plan for gearbox bolt-up? Your BG flywheel housing is likely SAE 3 which is close to the MSA/MXA bolt pattern, but not quite. Can you fit a clutch in with the flywheel depth?
4BG1T rocker gear...

Too long since I've pulled the rocker cover on my 4bd1 to remember.
Is that valve gear heavier than 4bd1 (I'm thinking maybe bigger capacity == larger valves == heavier rockers etc)?
