The price on the G082528 is good enough that it'll cost me more in fittings, boots, pipe and mods than for the filter assembly itself.

Did you have to cut the guard to sit it lower Vern or did it clear the bonnet? I've been measuring and prodding and all I can see is it'll either just fit or just not fit.

I ordered a G082526 yesterday. This is the same as the G082528 Vern has but comes with the safety element and was in stock.
Price was the same, I'll have to take out the safety element when I get around to fitting an intercooler and the extra flow that'll need. Until then it'll be another intake noise suppressor.

The entire Donaldson product range PDF is here: http://www.odms.net.au/files/organis...%20Oct2011.pdf

It's a 267 page pdf, quite large but has all the boots, hoods, snorkle heads, clamps, spare parts etc all in one place. It's not displaying properly in Firefox (garbled text) so save it and view with your normal PDF program.

Thinking I might change to the fleet guard one for better fitment. Now where are the specs on the fleet guard housing.

This is all I've found so far:

No dimensions in the above. But this on ebay looks to be damn near a carbon copy of the Donaldson: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fleetguard-A...-/221350653680

I think I may be able to mod the one I have, if not, it will end up in the bin. I need to move the inlet over to the other side but down a bit. any one see any problems with this? (then turn the housing 180 degree so the outlet is up against the fire wall)

Sounds like you want to put it the same way I plan to. But I don't have a snorkle to worry about. My air entry will be front left corner of the engine bay.

I was looking at putting the air-cleaner in sideways against the firewall on the back of the LHF inner guard.

The FPG housing that Vern has above (that I also have but haven't installed) is a bit too long.
So I started looking for cleaners from Donaldson a bit shorter, but possibly fatter. I found this Donaldson EPG model:
    https://dynamic.donaldson.com/WebSto...077&item=16475

Massive air-flow rating, but only a few mm shorter and an inch fatter. It's no good for me, but might work perfectly for someone else. I'll go back to plan A.
