I chatted to the grays auction bloke on site at the Adelaide inspection yard last time they had a frontline machinery auction on. He was saying at that point (late 2013) that the Sydney based auction lots were starting to have some boxes of miscellaneous Perentie bits up for grabs.

Has anyone seen this sort of thing in person?

Hasn't happened yet, but some vehicles have been tarted up with brand new bits, or treats like 2 spare tyres or 3 jerries, etc.

I think it would be a good selling point to throw in for example a full set of filters for the vehicle's first service, but there's been nothing of that kind.

Do people understand that a perentie retrofitted with rear disks will have to have an engineers certificate for the brake modification?

No such thing as a type approval at the moment.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

No, but the seller of one of the pretendies on carsales ( 1989 Land Rover 110 Perentie ) told me that they forked a "new" (reco I guess) g/box and t/c into the rear of his after he picked it up and went back and to complain that there was g/box noise.
