    not cheep putting a r380 behind an 4bd. sort of conflicts with your "i think sticking to off the self easy fix easy " i think

    Mine is in my holiday camping car and is to be used for towing on all these trips, i'll stick with my msa, the adapter shaft is about the only part that is not off the shelf and requires serious tooling to make.
    I doubt the r380 would last, and i don't want to be driving in fear of it crapping itself.
    BUT if the lt95 had of fit, i would have just stuck with that 😊

    Last diesel box i had done was a t700 behind my 6.5 chev diesel, lasted 1500k before it was in for every aftermarket hduty bit to make it strong enough, was fine after that, no valving mods though. Just a diesel governor to lower the shift to the right rpm and ran a low stall converter, worked well, still have that box.

    Yeah the 4l80 is pretty exxy and sucks being electronic as well.

    Not sure what is meant buy wow though😊.

    TH700, the 6.5 not the greatest of motors but being a V8 as opposed to being a 4 pot means it has next to no tourgue impulses. which is a good thing. the BD has massive tourgue pulses, eats th700's in the driveway

    wow = stupid idea

    Sold it to someone on here, was taper roller aswell. And my spare lt95 and bits went to bearman.
    Reason it didn't work was the gearstick came up under the dash (soft dash rangie)

    Expensive. .... in your case alex its just a bell housing mod. $900 plus a gearbox $50-2000k use the same transfer clutch etc.

    Totally agree Adrian, but if you could its a much better option.
    If someone on here wanted to fab some kits up, there is enough info and drawings to do so.
    Mines done and now improved and originally was only let down buy 3 insufficient welds and a poorly designed shaft, i now have confidence in it.
