Doing the Turbo will be a lot cheaper than the six speed box, I'd suggest doing that first.
Next time I speak with Sheldon, I will ask him if he is looking at doing a six speed conversion.

Yes, That's a ritter type intermediate shaft not an army type.
You have a couple of options Jock
1..............Pull it out and check if the bearings are the same as the standard army type and if so get a new set of army 0.996 gears (FRC9392 and FRC4032. Bearings should be L68149/68110 I think from memory. Approximate cost about $450 for the gears only + bearings (cheap from a bearing shop)
2..............If its not the same bearing setup you will have to get hold of a standard gear FRC4500 I think from memory and get it machined to suit the bearings that are in the old one plus the FRC4032 for the centre diff. I am away from home until Friday so can't check the ritter one I have in a spare box here but i'm sure its 0.996.

If you're not in a hurry I will have the bits you need at home but won't be able to post anything until Friday. Otherwise once you know what gears/bearings you need you might be able to get them organised from somewhere else quicker than Friday
    Cheers......Brian

I've definitely got one here somewhere, but stuffed if I can find it right now.
Not 100% sure it was a County one though. Could have been Rangie...

Steve had one, chasing little things. Selector knob, shims and seals

    All ordered now

You don't happen to know the Timken number for the front output bearing by any chance?

I am a bit late to this thread. However just stopping in to say my LT85 is still going strong. Now 6 years and over 100k km since turbocharging the engine, much of that time either towing or offroad. Syntrans changed at approx 20k intervals.
