Thread: Pulldown and inspect of my ex army 4bd1-t

Hi guys,

Started my pull down of my ex-army 4bd1t engine that I purchased from graysonline.

Trying to find out why they would have pulled this motor out.

some faults I have found!

* broken exhaust studs x 2
* water leak on oil cooler plate that bolts to side of engine.

that's all I could see externally!
( Once I learn how to get my pics from icloud i will post them)

Anyway I Removed Injectors and Injector pump after much swearing, and sent them out for testing.

Well didn't expect to much wrong with them, but I was wrong

* 4 rebuilt injectors with new injector nozzles
* Injector pump fully rebuilt and bench tested and all pressures set

So now that the injetcors and pump are all sorted im gonna start pulling the long block apart.
