Plenty of V6 Commodore too. They'd be a dime a dozen.

Yes, Land Rover fitted a different flywheel housing (the housing between the engine block and gearbox bellhousing).

Use an Isuzu flywheel housing, or change the the adapter plate (should be relatively easy).

Because the kit retains the flywheel, this makes adapting another transmission easier and as a bonus, users have found the added rotational mass of the torque converter makes the engine run smoother.

There's nothing crappy about keeping a vehicle low. An extra 2 inches of body height would stop me from getting into one garage I've had and would have prevented me lifting the engine out in two more.

Don't forget, New Zealand has corners.

Oh I've refitted it enough times to make up for that.

Doesn't require making the engine mounts but

4BD1 in a rangie is about as easy as an engine change gets, they're made for removal/refit

I've completely remade one of the engine mounts and had to modify two of the others (one LT230, other engine) for clearance (tool clearance that is). No need to redo the other yet.
My engine mounts pick up the original V8 chassis mounts. This lets me use larger and softer isolaters than the stock Isuzu ones.

Mine is different in all the details to the factory landrover fitment. There are still more ways to skin that cat too.
The guy who originally fitted mine also fitted a 6BD1T to a jag. Had to dry-sump it to get the motor under the bonnet. I came across him about 5 years back, unfortunately he remembers nothing of the conversions.
