G'day mate - back for me weekly fix.

Good to hear the real estate guy is going to do the right thing - especially after 15 years with him. I'm sure something will work out for the best soon. But isn't that why we all drive Landies?

Know you've been busy and are taking things one day at a time (which is the best thing for all of us to do) but have you done any more on the tyre carrier for Christine yet? Gee I wish I had the mechanical skills you obviously have listening to you talking with Ausfree.

Dunno if foam matting will do much for you? I put this stuff in the OKA and it is brilliant. Theres a 4 litre Turbo Perkins under there, makes the SIII seem as quiet as a Rolls Royce by comparison.

BTW Don't get stressed mate, take it easy', little steps, one day you'll get there. Look at the bright side, people care. Like in 'Lion King" Akuna-matata.

Hey dale i'm in the process of making the top mounting bracket will put some more pics up tomoz after i have finished welding it..Fatty's going up to ALL4X4 this week to find out how much 4 bushes are..
The way i am making it there wont be any weight on the rear door,the rear door i have on it has already cracked from the weight of a tyre by the previous owner...Plus i have to make some sort of bracket for the bottom & where the pivot will be on the door .....

Well went out again this mornin went to look for some scrap metal up behind our place ,we have an industrial area so off we went.well everyone now locks there scrap bins inside & i couldnt get any, but we did find a sheet of checher plate about 2m X 1m just fitted in the rover..

Was sitting down having lunch when Fatty says its valentines day today..Ah well atleast i took you out to get some scrap,her reply was YOUR SO ROMANTIC ARENT YOU ,My response was atleast it was in the bloody landrover what more could you want..

She hasnt realy said much since then..dont know why...

How ungrateful! What more could she want - you taking both the women in your life out together on Valentines Day!

Had a look at the pics of the carrier. All you need is the bushes and it will be full steam ahead.

What colour will you paint it?

Hey AUS you can buy clutch packs for auto boxes there not to expensive its more the labour for taking the box out & pulling down to put the new ones in.& if you get all the mesurements of your clutch pack you can look around & more than likely you could get a heavy duty pack..shame its not a turbo box i have a brand new heavy duty clutch pack & a manual shift valve body in the shed some where..i'll find it when we have to clean out for the move..plus if it was a turbo box i could do it for you...& it wouldnt cost you a thing as i already have everything..

PS if it had water in it wouldnt it make sence to change the filters,from what i can remember with mine i couldnt get the water out as the filter are so fine..if he had changed the filters & realy flushed it it would be ok you just have to make sure all traces of water (coolant) is out..i never had trouble with mine after doing that...

i dont mean to sound abrupt or sarcastic i just think the filters should of been changed....& i cant stand machanics taking advantage of people..
I use to do the services on old toms car & his daughters as the machanic was charging then $80 just to change the oil...
& i would of just changed the radiator over in your car since it was split i recon there mite be a chance it mite go again unless they replace the whole bottom tank.....BUT I COULD BE WRONG & HAPPY TO BE PROVED WRONG.....

Well its a very crapy low day today i got some bad news on the weekend .remember old tom i told use about,well karen called in to see his wife for me to see how she was traveling, & it turns out its just got worse for her.there daughter was just diagonsed with ovarian canser & it was only found because she had a cold.well after going through all the stuff at the hospital when she had the opperation the doc walked out looked at them all in the waiting room then loked all around the room found a tissue box went & pick it up went over to the family & said we took out a tumor the size of this tissue box...then to top it off the keemo she is on is the lowest posable ,they tried her on the strongest & the medium & she went into anapharlaktic shock with both of them..if she was on the strong one she would have a 70% chance a beating it & about 50% on the medium one ,..they have given her a 20% chance on this one she on ,she calls it the home brand..shes in good spirits.
I found out when old tom use to call in he would allways say to me just calling in to make sure your not dead he would call in every week just to check up on me for that reason...I found out he was realy worried about my depression cause i was fighting it bad at the time before he died...
now his wife on top of all her troubles is worried about why i havent been out in the shed working at all as she goes past regularly..
& was asking karen how i was as she knows i was close to tom so karen told her that i had taken his death hard but stop worring about him he has me & now he has made some friends to talk with.& is finaly relaxing a bit & chating to people..but i think she will allways worrie cause its her nature she is such a loverly lady & i feel so bad for them at the moment...
So thats about it for today i am so sick of this depresion part of my problem i get so down & i wont take any drugs for this part as they are all so addictive i dont want that on top of it...
Ah well i will have the pamphets to do at lunch time ,mite take my mind off a few thing i hope..
