Noooo. Too much to handle. I want this. Jose, how long will this offer last. I will be in Europe for Christmas, maybe I can pick one up for a Christmas present to myself.

Really want to see and hear what people think about these once fitted. My stage 3 tune goes like stink. This can only be a good thing.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

sorry on iPhone didn't see post with price do you have a web site and contact details to order and for a couple of more questions? the last try with a Hybrid from DPL wasn't very convincing and removed within 3 days. need low down torque

    Thumbs up

Impressive results It's correct to think that EGT temps are a bit lower on a Defender vs a Discovery, at the same Stage map ?

    hello,

if I'm right and going by the dyno figures turbo will only really spool up at around 1600 RPM. I'm after a solution which will give me low down torque for off-road ideally just above idle RPMs I guess yours wouldn't be suitable for that? do you have a solution for low down torque?

    cheers

    Steve

    Jose,

how will these hybrid turbos go for those of us with early non - flashable td5 ecu's? Is there a benefit without the map upgrade? To convert to an nnn ecu is going to cost an extra $1000 au or so on top of this and I'm wondering if it's worth it?

If you're spending the money on a turbo upgrade, then to not begin with a mapped ecu is silly. Particularly as its entirely possible that remaps will need tweaks to suit the new turbo based on different vehicles and user needs, would you rather keep sending your ecu away to be re-soldered, or just send an email and still be able to drive the vehicle?
Being tight with tuning and buying a new hybrid turbo aren't things that go in the same sentence

I get that Muppet. I paid for a davis performance tune on my msb ecu though and I'd rather not have to get another if it will work with the turbo. Eg 80% of an Jose tune. I think I'd be better off selling my tuned ecu and getting a nnn ecu, eu2 map and turbo from Jose. Which is why I pm'd him for a quote an hour or so ago

...sooooo.....what I'm gleaning here is that this hybrid turbo is not a bolt on replacement if ones OEM turbo lets go.....
