Just doing a weight comparison. These are 17kg.

What is the weight of the standard 19" alloy rim with no tyre?
    All the best,

    L320 TDV8?
    Plans for more colours?
    Also what do they weigh?
Assume they'll need different nuts, included or will there be a recommended option?
The compos are brilliant but the price point on these could make them game changers. Very exciting.

18" Alloy is between 12-14kg depending on the model etc. I will post the actual final weight once the pre-production sample is complete but they should fall between 17-18kg.

Just tried these on the D4 range at present but it has slightly more space than the 18" alloy currently available for the D4. Will weight between 17-18kg

Once the pre-production models arrive, I will create a full fitment guide and post it on the website

They do need different nuts, and these are included. They are 22mm specifically size to match the existing LR wheel brace.

At present its the Henry Ford colour choice... anything as long as you like black.

If there is enough interest, they can be painted any colour in the factory.

    Thumbs up Specs

The good people at TuffAnt replied to my query overnight - below...

Modus Pty Ltd replied to your message:

    Thanks for the email.

    1. The target weight of each wheel is around 17kg with a load rating of 1400kg.
    2. They are hub centric as recommended by the local engineer and come with specific conical chrome capped nuts that are 22mm so they fit the standard LR wheel brace.
    3. These have a better clearance than the compomotives so if they fit, these should fit for sure. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me again,

    cheers

    Andrew

Not cheap for steelies @ $215 each (and that's at the pre-order special price) plus freight, but definitely a cheap option to run 18s over the bigger brakes for sure. And a lot of people prefer steel wheels for more adventurous use. Good on them! These will be high up my shopping list if I get that lovely RRS I've got my eye on...

When you concider 17" Dynamics in basic silver are $138 for the D3 and after a while they do tend to crack, an 18" steel rim is bound to be dearer and if the quality is there, that price is not to bad.

Just so you know, the VW Amarok takes a 5x120 16/17/18 rim in the same offset, centre hole is 65mm though, just in case you want to spread your wings apom
    Cheers Baz.

    Question Fitment

So - as I understand it - these wheels should fit just about any RRS or FFRR as well as D3+.... right? It'll only be the Supercharged, etc with the bonkers-big brakes that they won't fit, but the TDV8 Brembo brakes will clear, for example. I guess they'd also fit a D2? Does that sound about right?

D2 has different PCD etc so not them.

I thought the D2 had the same PCD, center bore and similar offset to the D3+ and RRS, etc? And the P38A also... Pretty much any new model after the mid/early 90s came with the new pattern as I believed it?
