I have PM'ed Diana for advice on how this could best be set up and what limitations the rules, etc may have. I'll wait until we here back to start anything new. In the meantime keep the ideas coming.

Not sure if we can have a multi access post to edit the info, or if someone would need to oversee it and edit it as new info comes along.

If we just have a normal thread running, we may risk doing exactly what we are trying to avoid? I like Stuee's idea of a post that has different sections and links to the relevant threads.

Dare I suggest 'Room 101'.... Coloured Balls and Bumpers! That has a ring to it too!!! Still giggling at the comments. Anyheww, as a few have said, this forum is great, and tho I now spend most of my time loitering in the 101 section, there is still a lot of time spent in the technical sections and now Projects section with the wife's Ser 2 Tdi.. The idea of a club is good but, we'd still be doing the same thing as we do here because not many of us would make the Fri Nite Pub Meet... and others would be there every wk/month.. What might work is an annual 101 meet up as was suggested somewhere before. Vic seems the logical place as there's a fair number of you there, its reachable for the 2..or 3 from SA, and the few in NSW. As for our QLD agents and WA agents, not so good... But it could rotate around states.... If a date or wk/w.e was locked in in roughly the same place every year then I think most of us would make the effort. If it was to coincide with the Melrose meet or what ever the Vic meet is then there'd b camping, activities etc as well and it would save a lot of planning and organisation. Just my thoughts. I'd still join the club tho!!!

We're sort of trying to get as many 101's at Corowa early next year.
Seems like a good spot. Good event too.

Is this the taste of things to come? Club gagging orders already...??

Keep up the posts on this forum! I enjoy reading these even though I don't own a 101. I used to, but now have something a little different, but all this info is great, the banter is excellent, and I don't want to be excluded if things change.

Is a Volvo allowed in a Land Rover club???

    We are laid back here.
A Volvo?????/ if its a C303 and you promise to give us all a drive it should be OK to hang around.

I don't think there would be any issue with this place closing its doors to the public anytime soon.

Volvo's (the new crash avoiding kind) continually play havoc with my radar detector though. As long as you don't use your adaptive cruise control around me I'm fine with you hanging about.

TGB13 - yes. It's a bit old for radar reflective paint, so shouldn't worry, and it is unlikely to crash whilst festering on the driveway. That and I'm in Melbourne and probably a little too far away.
For comparison, parked next to a 101 (AJ's I think).
One day I'll start a thread, but need to finish the house first, and build a garage...
Until then, I am watching with interest (and some degree of jealousy) the excellent work you guys put in.
    Ian.
