I notice many application where you see venting made from metal, particularly where gas bottles are stored etc. I wonder where you get that from, and if it could be cut to shape?

Ben your right if the is less holes there is less cutting

This is the one I got, it uses the original securing screws. About a 5min install.

I think it looks good, without having to match each side.

As you can see, it's quite discreet.

Is there anything under the flat blocked off driver side....you could buy two (left/right are the same correct) and youd get a bit of cooler air through that area or does the right side need to be blocked off ?

There's nothing under the RHS. It leads to the wheel arch behind the overflow bottle (on the Tdi model). I've put my hot water heat exchanger in there and use the flat panel as an access hatch in case I need to access it in the event of a leak.

That's smart thinking! I'll check tomorrow to see if mine will fit in there. What brand is yours?
